League Champions
Forgot to say the team J Drew and myself play in won the league last saturday even without their best two left footers.
We were 4-2 and came back to draw 4-4 with the last kick of the game whih gave us the point we needed. Drew scored one of the goals, he has had a prolific 1st season after a shaky starts a la peter crouch ;)
Cup final in a few weeks too.

J and I and me bro are going up to Edinburgh on Saturday then on Sunday over to Glasgow to watch Hearts V Hibs in the Scottish FA Cup final. GET IN

My weekend at the stag do
Tosh has already said what we did at the weekend although there were some omissions, things that shall never be disclosed.
I had a wicked time, got very drunk (as Tosh pointed out to me on the Saturday when he said i smelt like a brewery) and met lots of new people all of who were very nice. (Yes Sparks Gethin is the lad from Blue Peter altho i had no idea as i don't watch it but he was sound as a pound)
Schoolboy error in not booking today off work though, have been extremely tired and twice missed my junction on the motorway and went in the wrong direction, think i was still drunk.
Sparky had better beware his do that Drew/Tosh and myself shall be organising as i am sure it will involve much of the same activities and similar amounts of alcohol.
Thanks to Tosh/Steven for inviting me.

Weekend
My weekend was good. I played football instead of badminton on Friday night, I have to say I wasn't very good at it but it was much more fun than badminton.
On Saturday all of the bridesmaids and my best mate the bride went out for dinner with our other halves in Exeter. Went for a few drinks afterwards and started sorting out the hen night for next month.
Got a photo msg from Jonno in Spain which he assures me is not a rude one but I need to get Orange to sort out my phone before I can see it.
Think i'm sorted for moving out...plan of action is to move on the 8th April at the moment...oooh scary!

the Stag do
Well the 27 of us all got there with no mishaps which was nice! We all turned up to Brissol Airport wearing Chav outfits and I gave my brother his Vicky Pollard outfit - he loved it. We got some great looks from people in the airport- some probably could of been mistaken for our group mind you! :D
We got to our hotel and it was in a very nice area of barca - the diagonal was the street name. the hotel was decent too. We all checked in then went and got changed into our tour tops and tried to find a bar and sommit to eat. This was more troublesome than we thought. we got in 400 taxis it seemed to the water front and noone would let us all in - suddenly they were all closed. So we split into smaller groups. The group i was in found a great place to eat - 1/2 a chicken and chips with a beer for 7 euros - thats nice. the rest went to a bar for tequila slammers and plenty of drinking (this was at 1pm!) We met up with them again just as my brother walked out of a casino after winning 600 odd euros. 7 of them (including my bro) gave him 50 euros each (i dont have a button for euros - pissing me off) and he went to put it all on 7 on the roulette. he couldnt put all that on one thing strangely so he played video roulette, and won just under 1000 euros! NICE.
We all went back to the hotel then and got changed to go out for the evening. Went to a bar just round the corner which was cool. Then we went to las ramblas to pubs and clubs. Some went to a cheesy club and got in at 7 me and J went with my bros group - i have to look after him as i am the best man. so we went to a more "classy estalishment" as with all the clubs we were on the guest list. this club was shite. J got us both a round - walked around the club found out my bro was already going home! - way to wasted! and so we left to. We got home about 3:30am. some of the guys from the other group didnt get back till 5/6/7!
The next day we got up basicaly did whatever. Steves Brother in law Gethin (never met him before - cool bloke) and his pal turned up and we met the rest in las ramblas for brekkie and to watch Liverpool Beat Everton - oh aye must check fantasy footy.
We then went to the Nou camp! we had a tour - amazing place.
We all went back to the hotel then and got changed to go out for the evening. Went to a bar just round the corner which was cool. Then we went to the waterfront clubs. Baja was the place we ended up in, all the male bar staff were in bermuda shorts and thats it and the girls were in thong bikinis or hotpants. terrible i say!
we all got in around 6-8 again. a couple of them actauly went straight to breakfast! haha wasted.
I woke up 3 odd hours later to ring everyones room to A) wake them up
b) remind them clocks went fwd
c) tell them what time check in was at the airport - none of them thought to read the flight itenerary!
Finally at 12:30 we had all left after another military style operation for taxis - 29 people in taxis is mental.
We ALL made the return plane and got home safe and sound. Cheers to Drew for picking us up and to Ben for taking me, J and Panda.
No gossip to tell, noone got arrested, no one got crabs.
3 people got mugged or pickpocketed! - it is Europes street crime capital of the world.
But apart from that it was ace. Will go to barca again to actually see the sights as it is georgeous!

Harnessing the power of the 360
So I have the xbox 360, a superb machine with lots of power. Last night I downloaded Gauntlet, remember the old arcade game with wizard, warrior, elf and valkerie. Well I downloaded it on the xbox, me and ben played it from 9 till midnight and got to level 43. I had 3.6million score and ben had 2million odd. but then we had to switch it off. and coz we did that we lost our high scores! Bugger!
just have to do it again.
While we were doing that Yvette watched the new version of pide and prejeduce which made her smile lots and now her bestest film :D

Sparks weekend - He cant blog
From the pen of Sparks:
Well had a fab week last week. Went to Cheltenenham on Tuesday night, and had a lil birthday tea which Tosh and Yvette kindly cooked for me Emma and Benji. Was very nice too. Emma made me a birthday cake which was lovely. Went down very well. The cake that is, not Emma. Well at least not at that point.
Achem, anyways, Wednesday was race day. I managed to win 9:50 on first race after betting £20, then £11 on second race after betting £30. Ace.. So didn't do too well as the rest of races I had bugger all. As Tosh mentioned we went to conservatory after the race to warm up and have a few drinks. Went home at 9 cos I had an interview the next day. Thursday me and Em drove to Guilford for interview. I did ok, well they said I knocked them dead, so maybe a bit better than ok ;o) apparently I was good enough to not need a 2nd interview and will probably get an offer in next couple of days.
Thursday night me and Em went for a Thai back in Cheltenham , which was lovely.
Friday went to town with Jay and Drew and Russ and his girlfriend Katherine. Had brekkie with them (well I say brekkie, ordered at 10:45 ate at 12.... great) then went and had my hair cut, which im not so sure about, bit Paul Weller Esq... But looks better than it did. Then I met Tosh and James (who were waiting outside Tony and Guy, and was mildly impressed with only having a few comments like Lego hair being bantered around.) We went and got Tosh his 360 and played on that most of the afternoon while girls burnt holes in their pockets.
Then Went to town, went to J vodka Bar where it was wayyyyyy to hot and was costing me £5 a drink. Russ's girlfriend collapsed on the spot so we took her outside, got her some air and then decided to head to moda. The girls met up with us later so there were about 15 -20 of us out which was ace. Somehow during the course of the night, me and Em had a moment alone and I told her how much she had changed my life and how happy she made me (it was our 1st kiss anniversary).
Anyways, long of short of it is Em asked me to marry her and I said yes, so I am now engaged... ahhh lol but couldn't be happier. I was planning a more romantic place to ask Em, but she got fed up of waiting and just asked me, typical woman! Well we got lots of champers and although moda is not the most romantic place on the earth it was great because everyone was there to share in the celebrations. We danced and laughed the rest of the night away.
Saturday we all went out to where I thought was Slug and Lettuce for lunch but was in actuality the very nice restaurant Flynn's where Jay and Yvette and guys had organised a champagne dinner to celebrate... was ace. Yvette came in with a huge bunch of flowers was really great. I had to make a danm speech but then tucked into a good old steak burger and plenty of Foxes Glacier fruits.
We then went back for a snooze and the girls came over for supper and we watched road trip. Me and Em then head back to Southampton on Sunday, and spent the day watching lost, and looking at castles to get married in and getting all ready for work. All in all a very good week.
Cant wait to Jay's birthday now. Roll on April!

last week/weekend
So on Tuesday Sparks and Emma cam over for dinner. I got steaks and Yvette cooked for the 5 of us. very pleasent night
Wednesday we all went to the races. did crap, major win for me was 50p in the 1st race. but only bet £20. After racing finished we all went to the conservatory. the hardcore drinkers were in the marquee doing drinking games while others were in the warmth. Some of us left at about 9ish as we were knackered. some stayed out till 2am even though i told her to have a quietish night as i was taking her away for her birthday - answers on a postcard if you know who i am on about.
Thursday Yvette and I drove to Hellidon Lakes hotel VERY nice we had a suite, own living room MASSIVE shower with side jets and just very nice. I had booked Yvette a spa day so whilst she was getting her massage and facial i was swimming and in the sauna and jacuzzi.
After that we lazed around just relaxing, then we went to dinner. I had pre ordered champers t ocome as soon as we sat down to toast her bday - aint i good! i loved my dinner - beef, whereas Yvette went for the veggie option and didnt like it.
After dinner we went to the terrace bar but was cold (was snowing) so we took our drinks to our living room and relaxed there.
In the morning we had breakfast in bed - well in the tabel in the living room - we got loads. It was very good hotel, all the staff knew it was yvettes birthday which was strange.
We drove back to chelts and I met with James and Sparks whilst Yvette met with Emma. the two of them spent a few hundred on clothes and i bought an Xbox 360 - minted it is.
Friday night we all went out for sparks and Yvettes birthdays very good night even tho we went to Moda! I will let sparky tell you what happened in there!
On sat we met up for lunch then i went home and played on the 360 with ben until the girls came back (yvette and her pals from uni) friday night ben and i played on the xbox as he girls went over to j and drews.
Sunday i met with J to get stuff for me bros stag do. then watched liverpool V newcastle and Chelsea V fulham before picking yvette up from work and goig to see he mum and dad then got home and i cooked dinner and we watched everyone hates chris then anger management.
Now i am back at work. Woo hoo

My week was ok - I went to see The Mighty Boosh stage show which was very very funny, i'm even more of a fan now. I spent last night watching the latest dvd.
At the weekend my sister and her boyfriend were down as were my grandparents so I went down to my mums to see them. In the evening we went to Exeter to see the end of the Vibraphonic festival - we saw a band called Youngblood who were a hip hop/brass band combo - sounds odd but they were actually very good!
I am here until 8pm tonight since it's parents evening, typical the other two members of staff are off sick so i'll have to do it by myself! Grrrrrrr.

Its my birthday
Go me... ripe old age of 31.
Gonna go cry now. Had some nice pressies though, a Pair of Ted Baker jeans from Em, a Cd as well, a nice birthday cake. Mum and dad got me Lost series 1 and a 360 which is now delayed till April :o( Bummer.
Looking forward to having a nice week with the guys now and winning some notage at the races :o)

Only 7 and a bit hours left then i am off for the rest of the week, as is most of us in chelts. We Have Spaky and Emma over for tea tonight, Yvette and i will give them nice steaks and Emma has made a victoria sponge cake mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Tomorrow we will all meet up suited and booted to have brekkie in a bar somewhere and then off to the races.
Then out wednesday night.
Thursday I am taking Yvette to a hotel for the night as its her birthday on Friday. I will tell you about it on monday (not all of it mind - only the bits i can tell) Friday night out in Chelts with Yvette and everyone for her b'day drinks.

My Weekend Too!
Stayed in on Friday night after playing badminton, tv was pretty rubbish except for My Name is Earl, i'm loving that!
On Saturday we took the kids to the Living Coast in Torquay where they have recreated, well, a living coast! You get to walk around with penguins right next to you, it's quite cool and the kids seemed quite impressed. On the way to get lunch the 4 year old fell over on the tarmac pavement and scuffed her lip open which was bleeding really badly so she screamed the town down which prompted the 5 year old to faint! Still, i'm quite impressed I managed to keep my cool and not panic at the sight of (lots of) blood!
Watched MOTD and saw the Spurs game 'highlights', hmmmmm.
Sunday I went to try on my bridesmaids dress again since the last time it was too small (top half, not cos i've put on weight before you say anything!) which fits this time! Should be made in a few weeks for another fitting.
And that, was it!

My Week/ Weekend
Was ill Weds and Thrs last week with ear infection, so that wasnt nice. Managed to get some stuff sorted though and have an Interview with British Car Autctions thursday this week. Really looking forward to it, looks quite a good company, and they use sql 2005 which is great. They are offering more money than im on now, + car + fuel card for personal use. Minted.
Staurday April came to stary with mum and dad, we went bowling and had a bit of a birthday tea. April beat me yet again by 1 pin so she was very happy. Damn those barriers. My Weekend
On Friday Yvette and I had a nice chinese and just relaxed as she is bunged up with the cold.
Saturday morning played footy. Before this match only 3 league games left and we are clear at the top of the league if we win and another team loose/draw we have the league title. It was an eventful game.
By half time we had less posession, less chances, playing terrible but 3-0 up! i gave away a peno but the guy hit the post. I pulled/torn my hammy or sommit else so was off for 10mins. And J was yellow carded for disent (the ref called him over by his shirt number - but J didnt know what his number was so didnt got over! haha - needs to pay a fine)
2nd half and within 10mins they had pulled 2 back! oh dear. then w eplayed a wee bit better and scored 2 more. final score 5-2, E with a hat-trick and Drew with 2 butcould have be 8 with the amount he missed like a sweet cross from j that he volleyed wide with noone to beat. haha but to be fair the runs and posistions he was in all the time was mint!
So I got home still sore -maybe i should have stayed off?
J and Jonno were coming round for the rugby so I hoovered and polished and cleaned the kitchen - Yvette did the bathroom before going to cribbs with drew. So J and Jonno and Emma came over to watch the rugby with me and Ben. Emmma left after an hour as Jonno wanted his tea made for when he got to hers! hahaha
At night I stayed in coz of my leg - was really gutted as i wanted to get drunk with jonno. I went through my Sky + deleting all the programs that were skipping and hanging (problem with the recordings - loose cable i think) and i watched underworld - ok film.
Sunday tidied my room as much as i could do - cant really bend down and i did washing. then ben and i watched episodes 10 -12 of 24 season 5 - MINTED! then watch liverpool match Oh dear!
Yvette came home from work and i helped her make dinner for the three of us. she made huge chops and salad with jacket pots from M&S dont you know! very nice. then TV for rest of night.
Yvette is still feeling rough and my leg is sore (james picked my up this morning) so eventful busy weekend

80's Quiz
Firstly, I do quite like this quiz, even if alot of my questions are the same each day, but at least I stand more of a chance in this quiz than the topics on it last month...once I get round to remembering the answers that is!!
I had the most ridiculous question today though - it asked me what film starred Michael J Fox as Marty McFly - the options were, Back to the Future, Back to the Future 2, Back to the Future 3 and a random one! Needless to say I picked the wrong one, not sure how since he's in all of those three films!!!

Tonight i am staying in with Yvette, having a chinky and relaxing (she is bunged up with the cold).
Tomorrow i am playing footy with drew and J. then going into town with whoever (j at the mo) to get a few things for me bros stag do! :D
Saturday night i am washing my hair so not doing much. OK not really going out with Jonneyboy :D

What a great game of Minesweeper DREW v TOSH
So I was winning 7-1 until i did this HUGE mistake. The largest area opened up that I have seen. Drew as you can see went up to 17-7, I pulled it back to 18-18! then went to the end drew winning 27-24. So a great comback from me but I couldnt believe the size of the area that opened up! And Drew did well getting all 16 on the flags mind you - i would have fecked up!
Oh So Tired
Well i am knackered and i still have a busy week to go !!
Weekend was spent packing and tidying Sara's flat, Monday and Tuesday moving my stuff out of her place, now my room at Tosh and Yvettes is full of stuff, can't get to the bed.
Took Sara back to Wincanton last night with the last bit of her stuff, after we sorted out the last bits at the flat.
By the way Shona is a Lazy fricking bitch and i pity anyone she ever lives with in the future. Her Nan and Auntie cleaned most of her cleaning, her auntie has osto-parosis or something as well. She did f-all to help tidying, she sat on her arse for four hours sunday waiting for a van to arrive to take her stuff, oh could have cleaned, could have taken the stuff down the stairs to make things easier. Lazy mother f@cker!! Anyway i have side tracked...
.... got Sara home at just after 9.40pm, the fog on the way back was a nightmare, could not see for more than 20ft at times, but crazy people still overtook me anyway. Unpacked the car and had Sausage and Mash for tea. Went to bed at just after 11pm. Got up this morning at 5.30am and had a shower and set off for work from Winkie at 6.30, 2hrs later i got her. Very tired need sleep.
Tonight i have to load my car up with my stuff so i can take it to my mums house to sort until i find a new place to live. So more lugging up and down 4 flights of stairs again. After work tommorow i am driving to my Mum's. Friday i will be driving my mum and selwyn to the airport as they are going Australia to see my brother, his wife and the baby. So i plan to sleep on friday and this weekend to catch up on all the sleep i have missed for the last week. Right now i may have a snooze too!!

Movie Review
James and I went to see Lucky Number Slevin last night. What a movie! like a strange cross between usual suspects/ lock stock
and layer cake. and a great cast too. Sir Ben Kingsley, Morgan Freeman,
Bruce Willis, Josh Hartnett and Lucy Liu looking sooo cute, playing an
innocent girl, no kicking or punching just being cute. The whole cast
is great, really played with gusto.
It is a case of mistaken identity, Josh Harnett is in NY visiting a pal
of his and is taken away by one mob boss then when he gets home another
one grabs him. So he has to think of things fast to stay alive. more
twists and turns than the Alton Towers Corkscrew.

Hello!
Hey everyone! Well i'm back from my hols - looking mildly tanned but not much by my usual standards, i'm going to put some fake tan on tonight to top it up.
Had a pretty good holiday even if the weather was a bit rubbish, hired a car so had lots of day trips round the entire island, went to some markets, sight seeing spots, festivals, up a mountain, beaches, had lots of meals/drinks out and even went to a casino and lost lots of money!! Hotel was ok, massive apartment really, had 2 huge bedrooms so could have easily slept 6 and overlooked a golf course so was pretty quiet at night.
Got back on Friday after having to pay 70 euros to get our luggage home - we were 11kgs over the measly 30 we were allowed between us - what a joke! Apparently with any other company you are allowed 20kgs each so will not book with Thomas Cook again. Then the plane was delayed, we had to buy some earphones (£2.75! hah! rip off!) so I could watch the in flight film (Walk the Line) because we weren't even sat next to each other and then the baggage machine broke! Didn't get home to Devon until nearly 1am! Very tiring!
Saturday spent all day at Robin's, I could not summon any energy to go out, couldn't even stay up for the Calzaghe boxing match and had to watch it the next morning, not usually a boxing fan but actually enjoyed it!
Today back to work which is cack and that new msn beta thing keeps kicking me out! Grrrrr! So, how are you all?

My Weekend
On friday i met up with James and some other guys from work for drinks. they had gone out for a curry but i declined as i have weddings and holidays to pay for in the next couple of weeks. Turns out the curry will go on expenses D'OH. hay ho. I was only out for an hour as Yvette and i needed to go to manchester on saturday for a wedding. It was a mate of mine from Sandbach. So i was dressed in my kilt, with a tie instead of a bow tie as it was an informal wedding so wearing what you would normaly wear at a night do. The hotel were the wedding was was very nice. however the drink bill was fucking disgusting. Whiskey and coke, wine and lemonade and lime came to £14!!! service charge was included and the bar staff were wank!
However near the end of the night sausage, egg and bacon sarnies were passed around which was good.
Our hotel was ok, normal run of the mill £55 room.
We got back to chelts yesterday at about 3:30 and went for a snooze we were knackered. Yvette then cooked me ben and sara a lovely roast, then we watched The Marksman, an amazingly crap film with Wesely Snipes. stay well clear.

And now... My week
Well it's been a pretty good week, since last friday i've had a first and second interview with Honda Formula 1 and been made a job offer.
Unfortunately it appears that even F1 can't afford my services and i'm actually kinda upset about it. I had a great tour of the factory last night and had a nose at the cars they're preparing for the first race in Bahrain next weekend. But I guess it's just not to be.
Well I thought i'd have a little rant a la Sparky. Now i'm going to go and sulk!
