The Weekend

Well this weekend went like this....

Friday night was meant to be going out for some drinks with Sparky. He changed his mind and he and Emma were supposed to come over to the Flat after tea for a while. But they could not even manage that cause Sparky is too slow to sort stuff out and he went for a meal and would not have been round till after nine so tosh vitoed it cause he had football in the morning. I went round to see Sara.

Saturday, got up and went back to the flat. Waited for all the boys (Jay, Drew, James, Tosh) to get themselves sorted for the night ahead. 3.30ish we set off for Bristol (going for Jays little bros birthday. Get to Bristol and go for a drink, wait for Phil and Gray to turn up have a few more drinks, I was having Coke. Phil has to go and play Poker so he ducks off at 5.30. We stay in the Adam and Eve for a while longer till Jays brothers and Dad come along. Then it is off to a local tavern call the something Taps. Nice little place which serves really strong cider. The boys all drink a few halfs of it. Play on the quiz machine for about 40 mins. Then it is off to see if we can find somewhere for some food. We split up in to two groups as some of us were not fussed if we ate or not. So Jay, Drew and I went off to the Clifton Wine Bar on route to the casino. We get a call from the others saying that they could not get in anywhere for food so have gone to the casino. We meet up with them and me a Drew hit the Blackjack, £30 each in to the pot. We play a little and the pot is up and down and up and down, we stop for a bit with £37.50 in the pot. Have a couple of drinks. Then back to the tables we make a little and lose a little again. Jay comes over and gives me £20 to use, he had just won some money on the roulette. I double his money and ask him what he wants me to do. He is a little drunk so tells me to continue, up and bit again down a bit cheating effing dealer and its all gone. Drew has also left the table now. Oh well sorry jay i say as Drew comes back and gives me £60 as he has now doubled our money. We give Jay £10 each back to cover his loss. Enough gambeling so off to another pub. Its now gone 12 and we are all a bit tired so after this drink it is off to the Food eating place whilst tosh and James go for the car. We then journey home, where i fall into a nice little sleep after turning all my clocks back an hour.

Sunday did not do much watched some TV and a pap kung-fu film. Had a roast dinner before going to beddie byes.

Good Morning!

Well hello everyone! I'm back at work after my week off. Glad to see there has been plenty to read on the blog in my absence.

Got lots done in the week, went to Cribbs Causeway and then out for dinner and the cinema, went down to see my mum and have my last fried brekkie before she sells her cafe, went bowling which amazingly I wasn't as crud at as I thought I would be and went to a funfair. Woohoo.

Only got onto the internet once all week to do the quiz so it's frustrating to see that i've slipped down to the bottom when I was actually doing ok this month for once!!

So, what else have I missed, did you all have a good weekend?

CGCHE Old Skool: My weekend

Thought id write about the weekend before i go to work.

First of all id like to say thank you to James (cheers for driving),Tosh, Ben and Drew for coming down to Bristol for my bro's birthday on Saturday.

After a nice 3-0 victory against the top of the league team in the morning (Tosh,Drew and i all played well) we went to Bristol for about half 4. After a few cheeky ones in the Adam and Eve with Phil and Gray we went to a pub called the Coranation Tap which serves a cider called Exhibition only in half pints as it is quite evil. My brother had 3 or 4 of these after his 6 pints of cider he had already consumed during the course of the day and was battered.

We all met in the casino after Drew,Ben,Gray and myself had a brief stop at Clifton Wine bar. Everyone who played roulette or blackjack won some money which was good (Drew and Ben won the most).

Unfortunatly my bro was in a bit of a state by this time and i ended up having to take him home before returning to the casino.

We left my dad and older bro in there and went on into town where we had a cheeky pint then some food and went home.

It was a very enjoyable evening although i did have a bit of a headache Sunday morning.

Yesterday afternoon/evening was my date with Cat and it went very well. We had a swift drink in the conservatory then went to see Saw II. Not my choice but wasn't as scary as i thought although Cat spend most of the film with her head in my chest and holding my arm which was nice. We went back to the Conservatory afterwards and spent ages chatting. We have loads in common and even had a cheeky kiss in there (i also had a quick peek at her boobs which are massive for someone so skinny). I dropped her home, had a bit more kissing and arranged to see eachother on Weds to watch fireworks in Prestbury.

All in all a very pleasant weekend.

BIRD FLU REACHES PARIS!

Jays day in court

Thought i would tell you all on here to save me from ringin/textin you all. (already spoke to phil, sparky,my mum and dad and my bro's)

The day didnt start very well as i was up at 4:30am, taxi picked me up at 5:30 so was at the station in plenty of time for my 6am train. this however was cancelled and i was told i needed to catch a bus to Gloucester.

45 minutes later bus still hadn't turned up and i was told this had been cancelled too but there was a train at half 7 which would get me to Cardiff for 9am. My court case time was 10 so i got to Cardiff was picked up by my boss and got to the court in Pontypridd just in time.

We sat waiting to be called in, i was shitting myself and was surrounded by a load of drug dealers/drunks etc which wasn't imporoving my state of mind.

Eventually i was called in but my boss wasn't allowed to go in with me so i had to go it alone. There were 2 magistrates a lawyer, the prosecution and the clerk so i felt a bit intimidated. I kept having to get up then sit down then get up again it was ridiculous.

I told them i had no solicitor and gave them the letter my company had written me. They read out the charges and i said i was pleading guilty. I then had to take the oath and explain why i was speeding (i said i had a foot affliction which makes my foot go down and i can't control it) and why it would cause me extreme hardship if i was banned (i said id be homeless and have to live in a cardboard box and probably end up like the other people waiting to go in). I was grilled with a load of questions by this point i was sweating like a horse and they were making me feel like i had killed someone.

The magistrates then went of to deliberate and i sat in the corner wishing i had got a solicitor after about 10 minutes they came out and i had to stand again whilst they gave me my sentence.

They said my driving record was appalling (i was thinking this isn't a good sign) and they were fining me £150 for the offence plus £400 court costs!
I couldn't believe it but then they said "oh sorry i meant £40".

They said they had taken into account my guilty plea, the letter and what i had said and under any other circumstances i would have been banned for 6 months but they were giving me 5 points instead. They told me i had to be very careful as if i was caught again i would not have to have a court appearance i would be banned automatically.

I had to pay the £190 there and then and that was it.

Thank you all for your messages this morning, when i got out i had 10 messages of good luck which made me smile.

I shall be getting a snooper for christmas.(no ben not a snoopy)

My Weekend

You can work out what i did from Jay and Tosh's blogs. Out with Drew friday night, into town saturday dyatime, however whilst jay and drew were watching football and having pizza hut i was tidying and cleaning Sara flat for her, which took 4 hours. Saturday night Q bar and Blush, kebab on way back to Sara's.

On Sunday aftrernoon after having a roast dinner with the boys i went to my dads house for another roast dinner with sara, yum yum it was all good and made me fell fat and happy. Back home and watched Wallace and Grommit curse of the were-rabbit with tosh and yvette. Then to bed still feeling fat and happy.

My weekend

Thought id write about my weekend seeing as Tosh/Sparks have.

On Friday Drew and Ben went out for a few cheeky beverages (Drew made a ffriend called Amy) whilst i stayed in and had an early nite as i had a headache.

Saturday Drew and Myself went into town where we met Ben. I bought some new football boots and we went for lunch in Bentleys. The afternoon was spent watching the footie scores and a couple of Smallville episodes before we got ready and went into town for some tea at Pizza Hut.

We then proceded to Q Bar where we met Ben and James and indulged in a few games of pool accompanied by some drinks and some random drunken bird who i think was trying to get into Drews pants. There were also lots of nice ladies there for us to look at whilst hitting the coloured balls into the holes.

We ended up in Blush where drunkenness ensued and James and i managed to upset a girl called Lisa by winding her up about rugby. This was the same girl that Drew ended up walking home to the racecourse apparently still not too pleased with me and James, although she did attempt to kiss Drew which he was having none of being the gent he is and not wishing to take advantage of a drunken young lady. He then ran all the way back to Leckhampton had a shower and went to bed. I however not being of the same moral fibre as Drew had brought a girl home and had a night of banging.

On Sunday i dropped said girl back to her car and went out for Sunday lunch with Ben,Tosh and James. On my return home i went to the supermarket to get some treats for the day with Drew. We then watched some of the Chelsea game some Smalllville and Coach Carter. I also arranged a date with a girl called Cat for next weekend which i am very much looking forward to.

Today has been a bit of a non starter as i dropped my car off for a service this morning, the courtesy car they gave me soem Chevrolet piece of pump but i drove it up to Birmingham for a meeting which i discovered had been cancelled and nobody told me. So here i am at home doing some work and writing on here.

Not really looking forward to the rest of the week as i have my court case on Weds where i may receive a driving ban and then have to travel to some random northern place for a meeting Thursday/Friday meaning i miss Lee Evans which im not too chuffed about. However i am looking forward to playing footie at the weekend and going to Bristol with the boys to celebrate my little bro's birthday and hopefully a nice date on Sunday.

My Weekend

Drove up to see Emma Friday which involved doing an average of 20mph up the entire m5 and half the M6. Managed to get up to 40 at one point which was fooken ace, then hit sandbach roadworks and crawled all the way to the M56. In all took me best part of 6 hours to travel 140 miles. Ace.

After that relaxing eveing jaunt, Em had a lovely tea ready for me (aww) Candles, music, wine, spicy food, and some spicy loving :o) Shame I had to eat a couple of mars bars on the way up to stop me falling asleep at the wheel, but it was lovely.

Saturday we went to Chester, mooched around a few shops, had some lunch and then met Corrie and her Boyfriend Richard (i think, he looked like a Dick anyways - Actually he was very funny, good guy and seeing Coz was great.

Sat night we and Em then met up with her friend Caz and her boyfriend Rich, Caz is the one who went on Rita with Tosh when we went to alton towers fo rthose who dont know. We went to a very nice italian then had a few drinks in some of the choice bars in Chester.

Sunday, Caz and Rich kindly cooked us a full sunday roast, with homemade Yorkshires which were lush. Had Apple and balckberry crumble after which was also very tasty. Rich lent me a book on quitting smoking which was very nice. And I was overjoyed to see Cardiff had won 6-1 while reading the sport pages in the paper. Prem here we come :o)

Me and Em then went off to watch Wallace and Grommit which was ace. Very very good film if your after some honest humour.

Woke up this morning at 4:58 am and drove here through torrents of water arriving at work at 7:30 sharp.

Ace weekend.

I am back

Hello i had a great time away.

Yvette and I drove up to Edinburgh last friday and arrived late friday night. The next morning we got up and I drove to Glasgow to watch Hearts play Celtic at Parkhead. It was 1-1. Then we drove back to the capital and went out for a meal with my Mum and my auntie and uncle.

Sunday we didnt do much - we got up had brekkie then went back to bed to watch the new 1st 4 epiodes of lost season 2, then we fell asleep, we woke up at 4:30! we went downstairs and my Cuz Laura and her husband were there! so we spoke to them had a laff and my auntie turned up. we had a lovely Chinese.

Monday me my Mum and Yvette went up town to buy me my kilt. will look great! i also bought myself a digital camera (sony P200 7.5mg if anyone is interested!) jim also returned home that night (hes my mums bloke)

The next day was obviously Tuesday so Jim me Yvette and my Mum drove up to the Isle of Skye. we took our time, stopping at nice places and Fort William etc.

Wednesday we went rock climbing, we went on a 2hr hike to the spot we wanted to do (the bit from highlander) but it was effing windy and very low cloud then it rained, so we did a smaller bit of rock and done absailing too. great views and a lovely place - there was a loch at the top of this thing!

Thursday we looked around a sleepy village and then went to this swordmakers place as i need a Sgian Dubh. Some of the Swords and knifes and rings and Dirks and other jewllery were stunning! very expensive mind - i saw two Sgian Dubhs i wanted one was £450 and had a blue blade the other was hand carved handle for £165 i didnt end up buying one as Yvette is going to get me one for my Xmas pressie :D

Friday we travelled back to Edinburgh going a different way - not over the Skye bridge but over to a place called Maillaig on the ferry, we stopped and had lunch there and then made our way back via fort william to Edinburgh - one placce we stopped at was where we spent family hoildays when i was younger - we went on to the beach where we used to have all to ourselves, brought back so good memories - it was a georgous day too.

Saturday Yvette and I went to the Hearts V Dunfermline match at Tynecastle park, we met up with the usual crowd before hand and were talking about the departure of George Burley - mental.

After the match we went to my Mums had tea then came down the road. took just over 5hours (took a new route which is quicker between Edinburgh and a place just north of Gretna)

Sunday went out for Sunday roast with Ben, J and James. then went round the shops with James, I swapped a T-shirt my sister gave me for my birthday and I also bought a Lee Evans DVD box set of his stand up - minted! that was with the gift vouchers Yvettes mum and dad game me.

Then when Yvette came home i had cooked Haggis and Mash pots with veg and cheese sauce, and watch Coach Carter - great film. then when Ben came home we put on Wallace and gromit. then bed.

I will get photos soon :D

Sexing my iPod (Part II)

There was a time when me and my iPod could barely be separated. I knew it was a player but there was definitely love - not a dirty love like you see in porno's, it was more of a classical kind of love that you see in romantic 50's film noir.

We went and did everything together. So much so that we were almost like a music playing Darth Vader - such was the oneness of man and iPod.

Anyway, I began to fall out of love with my iPod - I just couldn't be bothered to turn it on or push the right buttons anymore. It's smooth, white curves could do nothing for me.

The reason for this cooling off between man and machine was because two broke on me...

Now though we're back on sexing terms since I discovered the 'Shuffle' option. How brilliant is that! You just never know what's coming next out of thousands of songs!

So now, the iPod and I shuffle the nights away waiting to see who is going to come next.

Quizes

Originally i thought it was good that the questions were different every time for everyone on the quizez, but now i think it would be better if for each day everyone had the same questions. Yeah people could cheat and do the quiz twice, but you would be able to see both names on the score board and the administrator should be able to make the private game invite only and limit the number of players account so only one game per person.

The only reason for my Rant is that sometimes people get easy questions on Disney films for instance and other people get questions on the colour of pants worn by the uncredited extra in some french film from 1916 which was in black and white anyway. By not having the same questions for all players for the day you cant really tell how is the best. (hey maybe i am just complaing cause i am losing this month. but still i have a point).

F-F-F-Friday

Well what can be said? End of another week what are poeple doing?

Tosh is back form the land of the Scots, with bags of porridge and haggis for all, on Saturday. It was good having the house to myself, suppose i will have to tidy up and stuff befoe they get back. The parties we have been having have taken there toll on his stuff though. His plasma is leaking plasma all over his sofas, don't think the fact they are scotch gaurded will help much! I would hoover but that was what broke the TV, it makes a grrrrrrring wooooshing noise now and sucks?? Whats all that about? I found that throwing all the plates away was easlier than washing up too. At least i kept them all out of my room so all my stuff i OK, can't gaurantee tosh and yvettes room some guy called arnold in a gimp suit was in it last i saw.

Any way enough of what i am up to what are you doing?

The Tigger Song

The most wonderful thing about Tiggers,
is Tiggers are wonderful things.
Their tops are made out of rubber,
their bottoms are made out of springs.
They're bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy,
Fun! Fun! Fun! Fun! Fun!
But the most wonderful thing about Tiggers is,
I'm the only one.
Oh, III'm the only one!

Oh, the wonderful thing about Tiggers is,
Tiggers are wonderful chaps.
They're loaded with vim and vigor.
They love to leap in your lap.
They're jumpy, bumpy, clumpy, thumpy,
Fun! Fun! Fun! Fun! Fun!
But the most wonderful thing about Tiggers is ...
III'm the only one!

It is nice.

I went to bed last night at 9:30 and woke up at 8:15 mmmm it was good. the reason i was so knackered is that on monday i was called out from 10pm till 4am! and then up at 5 to catch a plane which i missed by two mins (the checkin just closed.......bastards) as the taxi driver went a stupid way. so me and the other bloke had to pay £40 for the nextflight which was at 1:30 - so we had to stay in Brissol Airport till then so from 8:30 till 1:30 i was bored - well i did have my bosses PSP to play with - I want one it is ace :D

BBC Charter (This is Why we pay)

The BBC Royal Charter
The BBC is a unique institution. Unique in the role it plays in public life. Unique in the way it is funded. Unique in the place it holds in the public’s affections.

Nearly all of us watch or listen to the BBC as well as the other public service broadcasters - ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and S4C. Whether through coverage of news and sporting events like the FA Cup, popular shows like EastEnders, or current affairs programmes like Panorama, the BBC plays a daily role in most of our lives. It is an essential part of what defines us as a nation. It is a distinctive voice that we turn to in good times and in bad.

The BBC’s activities are currently governed by a Royal Charter - a document that shapes the BBC, setting out what it is for, what it does and how it does it. The first Charter began on 1 January 1927. The current charter, the eighth, will expire on 31 December 2006.

Charter Review
Since 1927, a review has been carried out every 10 years or so to see how the BBC is serving the public and to consider its future. This process, called Charter Review, has now started.

Anyone with a television pays a licence fee. The BBC is funded by that licence fee. That gives all licence fee payers a stake in its future.

This Charter review process will be open, wide-ranging, with full public and industry consultation and with an appropriate parliamentary stage. It will bring together many strands of work including that by Ofcom and the reviews of the BBC's digital services, BBC Online and BBC News Services.

Once this latest Charter review is completed, we will be able to consider what the BBC of the future will look like.

Free Ipod's

Free Ipod

I am trying to get an Ipod Nano for free.

All You have to do is Click above link, create an account with them (just email and Password and home addy (so they can ship an ipod to you) then sign up for one of the offers, I just got 2 Dvd's for £10 (which I already wanted and cheaper than a store) Since we all buy DVDs thought you might be interested anyways and maybe get a free ipod with it. All you have to do then is forward on the link and a shiney new ipod is yours.

I googled the site and it is one of the legit sites - lots of Ipods already been recieved see:

Anything4Free

Be warned it takes 2-3 days for the signup to be credited to your account and turn off any popup blockers when you goto one of the offers as a pop up window will give you instructiosn on what to do.

Worth a go, esp if your gonna buy some DVD's anyways

Scott Mills is Crap

Radio One has lost a listener until Moyles returns from his holiday cause Mills is rubbish. He is a dull boring arse who is not funny at all, i think porridge is funnier than him.

Because he is on in the morning i don't listen to Jo Whiley or Colin and Edith cuase i am just listening to MP3's all day. Yvette said yesterday she turned over to Wogan on Radio 2 so she did not have to listen to Scott Mills. That does not help Chris Moles fan base after his campaign of "Say No To Wogan"

Why Why Why.....

Now it was foggy this morning on my way to work, visability of approx 300 yards (less in some places). So why did some stupid woman drive three feet off by bumper without her lights on as i drove past GCHQ?

Once i got on the motorway more crazy people did the same sort of thing! I was going a steady 70mph and people are zooming by with sidelights on at around 100mph. Now really are they in a rush to die?

Two days in a row I have put the correct answers in on certain questions and when you get the results back it's told me that i haven't put them in right....

Todays one was...what film did pierce brosnan star in? Golden... a) face b) eye c) arm d) toe (or some choices as random as that) Now I know the answer to that, and I also check that I am checking the boxes properly and it came back that i'd answered wrong.

As there seems to be a film theme running through everything that happens on the blog I thought I'd share a cool website that I've been visiting for a while:

http://www.metaphilm.com/

The link to google on the blog is so helpful - I can never remember the URL.

LOST

Watched the whole of the series of LOST (well apart from the 1st 6 episodes) this weekend it is crap. SOOOOOOooooooo slow nowt really happens and woo hoo there is another season. cant wait for that!

i aint spoiling it for everyone. but was a major let down - bring back jack bauer!

CGCHE Old Skool

I thought it was about time i contributed something to the blog and after much deliberation i felt that i wouldn't bore you all with details of the hurricane dodgers holiday in florida altho it was very good ..there is a particularly good photo of us on the Aerosmith rollercoaster with Drew looking very relaxed arms in the air, big smile on his face and me hanging on for dear life, eyes closed screamin like a girl.

I could only think of Mr Toshacks upcoming birthday celebrations this weekend (his actual b'day is on Thurs if i remember rightly) all are welcome to visit the Toshack household on Sat at 7ish bearing gifts and own booze where we shall wait for Tosh to get ready after his work jolly in Dublin.

We shall then be visiting drinking establishments of the birthday boys choice getting him lots of whisky and cokes untill he is giggling like a girl and dribbling sick from his nostrils.

Hopefully we will have a good turnout as Sparky will be joining us as he has especially suspended all other engagements and Mr Ian Britton will also be present as well as select members of the footie team (not Grant or Robin)

Anyway that is my contribution i know its not till the weekend but it gives us all something to look forward to.

I don't Like Mondays..... Tell me why!!!

The Boom Town rats were right "I don't like mondays", they are useless, no point iin them at all. But with the holiday i have left this year i could take every Monday off from now until xmas.
