24 meets Rainman

Will the suprises never end. 24 has lifted this weeks episode straight from the classic film Rainman, i wanted the guys to be called Raymond so much.

I am also getting a little amazed or is it annoyed that every week what ever is happening will be ready "within the hour" just once for a laugh can they say "Sorry Jack that will take a couple of hours, maybe not even till tomorrow".

Ouch!

My neck hurts! I don't know what i've done to it neither! It hurt a bit yesterday but today I can't even look left or put my head down or up! Rubbish!

movie quiz no more after Monday.

I am going to switch off the movie quiz as noone plays it anymore. The only people who actually won a month was ben and I and Jay a few times too.

And yes Ben we know you won a whole year ;) - I won 11/12 since last year

It took me ages to get out of my road because of the traffic, it took me nearly 4 minutes to drive to work. Oh dear, I really should save the environment and walk...

...driving past the one and only speed camera there is i was touching a few miles per hour over the speed limit. Only to chuckle to myself cause someone had burnt it out once again, saving the lonely motorist for future sppeding fines for another 5 months or so till they fix it again. Muhahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!

What I saw on the way to work...

Whilst driving to work this morning i either saw a hundred thousand ghosts everywhere, scentless smoke, or fog?? Its hard to say but i am sure i saw shapes and figures in the white blanket or whatever it was!! It sent a chill up my spine... then i turned the heater on in the car and it went away.

Morning everyone,

Glad to see you all had a good weekend! Mine was fairly stressful, for those of you that don’t know (maybe everyone except Jonno possibly!!) my Papa died on Tuesday and it was his cremation on Friday. He had been in hospital for a while but we thought he was getting a bit better. It’s very sad for my Nan since they were married for 58 years!

We had to go via Bristol to pick my sister up and her boyfriend on Thursday night and we all stayed at my aunties in London. The cremation was on Friday at Golders Green Crematorium which is really nice (and lots have famous people have been cremated there – most recently John Inman who was cremated there the same day!) The service was the usual mix of English/Hebrew so it was quite interesting but I think I spent the whole of it in tears anyway.

Even so, it was a good opportunity to see all my cousins and we had a lovely evening catching up with each other and planning a holiday to Vegas next year since in Papa’s eulogy it mentioned the time they took all their grandkids on a cruise and we ran up a £2k bar bill!! My cousin had bought a new PS3 so we all had a good look at that too!

We came home on Saturday and then I went and did lots of shopping on Sunday! That always makes me feel better!! Am back at work today and I’m really hating it, my boss is driving me bananas and I really wish I’d won the lottery over the weekend so I didn’t have to come back!

Oh well, that’s all my news for now…

Monday Morning....

.... or the last monday of the financial year.

Which means all the numbers people across the country will be working hard to complete there sums so they can have a great big piss up come the end fo the week. The long forgotten Financial New Year bash.

Thank feck its friday

well sooooo glad it is friday. Cant wait for the weekend.

Not had the best of weeks at work, well noone has really with the cutbacks going on. got another couple of weeks to ride it out as people go through their "consultancy" period.

Tonight I will be watching Bond with Yvette. Tomorrow watching Scotland and England Match with Jay (and anyone else who wans to come) Sat night not sure. Sunday go and see the shooter in the morning at the cinema then well not sure might do something crazy like wash my car!

Last night James/Ben/Caz/and James dad went to watch 300 - minted film go and see it. I didnt go to training nor am i playing this weekend as last sat i got injured (but stayed on as we had no subs - i am a HERO!). My artheritis is also playing up this week so I thought i would rest myself for a bit. But Good luck to Jay and Drew and the team for this weekend (it is a cup match and we have already won our group so not important).

It came, it Partied, it went...

Well the weekend has anyway. It was a fun filled event, Comic Relief on Friday night at Tosh and Yvettes, had a lovely Chilli and a load of us (Jay, Becky, Russ, Heba and Corrie. Plus James briefly) watched the amusements on BBC1, the best thing being Top Gear of the Pops, followed by Catherine Tate meeting the Prime Minister, most of the rest was rubbish.

Saturday was spent not doing much but watching TV, until it was time to go out for Yvettes birthday. Went to the Ha HA Bar and had a few drinks before we went off to Blush for some more drinking and dancing. Was a good night and everyone had lots of fun. Sparks and Emma were up from Southampton, it was good to see them (although Sparks did forget to call me so i could give him back the Video camera from the wedding).

Sunday was spent lying on the sofa at the boys house falling asleep and catching the ends of lots of films. Had KFC for lunch and then got back on the sofa for another snooze. Watched more films then went home and the weekend was over.

Not too busy to blog...

just not had a computer for a couple of weeks - my hard drive got all compressed and had to go in for surgery!! But it is all uncompressed and working again now so a big hello from Canada. Not much else to report though, lots of rain, dogs are getting huge (both well over 100lbs now), busy planning some home renovations, maybe I'll post the designs on the blog for comments and last but not least I started a new job - QA for Nestle Waters - just think CSI but with water and that's it!! Chemistry and microbiology etc, and all the free water I can drink - if only it was a brewery.....

I've been to Manchester with work, Dorchester with work, bought a coat Online ready for the Summer (?) and eaten some Fish & Chips.

Movie Weekend

So hows everyones weekend been? Mine comprised of tidying the house Saturday morning then going to the cinema to watch Hot Fuzz with Russ and Marcus, which was funny as hell. The went home and got a call from Tosh who asked if i wanted to go see The Number 23 that night, so back to the cinema i went, with Tosh, Yvette and James. Another good film, with the main character being obsessed by the number 23 and its reverse 32. Interestingly i was born on 23rd July 1978, which if you take July, 7th Month, so 7 plus 1+9+7+8 = 32. Freaky!!

On Sunday again went to the cinema with Tosh James and his girlfriend Caz. Watched Ghost Rider. Good adaptation from the comics and done well, which you have to expect as it is Nic Cages favourite Marvel character. Went to see Russ and Annie, had tea with them and watched TV. Drew came back from his Bro's at 8ish, we all watched Top Gear, then i went home and watched I,Robot on DVD even though it was on TV i did not want adverts.
