What am I up to?

Right now Im typing at the kwyboard with 1 hand and balancing an exploding cheese and pickle sandwhich in the other.

Cheese and pickle... yum, why arnt sandwiches like they used to be any more? Goto Boots or Sainers and every single sandwhich sold has Mayo in it. Disgusting.... What ever happened to Tuna, Cheese pickle? Ham and Pickle, Egg? You know the good ol days.

Anyways rant over. Back is hurting today. Played Footie last night for the first time in about a year and half. Played in what can only be described as a big marquee which was filthy hot. Felt very very unfit, heck did it hurt. But when my little legs got running i didnt do too bad, scored 4 Goals, (2 more than Drew) but to be fair he did set me up with all of mine, he also hit the post about 5 times, managed to skin a few of the "proper" footie players which was fun. Felt like throwing up a few times, all in all quite enjoyable and I didnt smoke from about 4 to 10 last night which is a first for me.

So what's everyone up to today then?

I am really bored at work - I've got loads of crud jobs to do this week. I am also tired - I went out to the pub quiz last night. We did pretty rubbish as usual and I had a mild hangover when I woke up today.

Still, i'm off on my holidays as of Friday arvo. Going to Spain again with the ex for a little while and then Emma is coming down for a long weekend and we are gonna hit the beaches in Devon...may come to Exmouth if you're around Jonno?

It means I won't do well overall on the quiz this month cos i'll miss a week. Still, I heard one of my fantasy football team being mentioned loads on the radio this morning so hopefully i'll still do well in that!!

Come on then, give me some goss or something to make my day go quicker!

I've just read the rules and you have to pick your first team by Saturday. I have got my little guide to the Premiership that I got free with The Sun this weekend to study before I make my choices! Think it's a bit like Celebdaq but with footballers.

Friday night the lads had a poker night - it was down to Ben me and drew to win. Drew couldnt be arsed so went "all in" and lost so that left ben and i - Ben won as he had more chips, so after a few rounds bet big and won. it was a good laugh. Drew could/would have won it i think if he didnt give in - well it would have been close between him and ben.

Saturday picked up my shiny new bike - it is ace. Then cycled to the boys house where my car was from the night before and drove J and myself to Bristol to watch City V Doncaster Rovers. the bastard was it took us 2hours to get there - damn caravans!

The game wasnt the best - 0-0 thriller. then on the way home there had been a crash so we were stuck again for 20mins or so!

Saturday had a plesent night in with Yvette.

Sunday Yvette and i drove to Cardiff to see my brothers new house but more importantly watch the Edinburgh Derby.
His house will be very nice once the builders have finished knocking down walls etc. On the way into cardiff we got stuck in traffic for a few miles (community sheild traffic).

we left before the community sheild finished to miss the traffic - but we were till held up (motorway goes to 2 lanes through a tunnel) for 1/2 hour or so.

Last night i read my new book - it is the newest in the "Skinner series" of books by Quintin Jardine - effin excellent books. highly recommended - them and Ian Rankins Rebus books.

Who thinks that it is cheating if ......

people play the quiz at the weekend when the majority of the people who play can and do only do it at work monday to friday?

I thought the unwritten rule was to play only monday to friday, i know i have played the weekend in the past but only if someone else had aswell, but still i think we should all agree not to do it. it is unfair on the people who don't do it.

NetWork Problems

I am having some network problems so hopefully be able to do the quiz at somepoint - i have connected via wireless network and VPNing back into the work network. bit of a pain - not done much this morning. I will be watchig the recruit and listening to the directors commentary tho :D

It too easy if i win every day

The quiz screwed me, it did the sparky curse on me and did not load correctly and gave me the error message, so i have to wait 1700 seconds before i could get the page to load with questions. So even though i got 9 right the time put me last. Oh well never mind, only a couple of points behind the leaders and its the beginning of the month so i am sure i can catch up and whoop you all again.

Weekend and Quiz

Hi everyone,

my weekend was good, well friday night wasnt, was out but called out a couple of times so i went home at 11pm :(

Saturday I went out shopping with James, J, Ben and Sparks - well Sparky buggered off to be with the girls - poof!

I got 2 pairs of jeans and I got the new sony phone - which was gonna be £160 but blagged it and got it for £40. WOO HOO.

I also ordered a bike - which is nice. coming next week.

Saturday night people came around and we played Simpsons Game of live and watched the Life aquatic with Steve Zissou (which was ok)

Yesterday i sorted out my phone numbers on my phone (interesting) and tried to fix my rip in my roof - didnt work glue was shit.

last night the boys went to the cinema - well i say boys J's bird and pal came - which I didnt know so I didnt invite Yvette as i thought it was just a lads night - bugger.

As for the quiz, it is a new month so lets see if we can beat Ben. I started the ball running but only got 5! - so probably not going to win today!!!! :(
