Hello i had a great time away.
Yvette and I drove up to Edinburgh last friday and arrived late friday night. The next morning we got up and I drove to Glasgow to watch Hearts play Celtic at Parkhead. It was 1-1. Then we drove back to the capital and went out for a meal with my Mum and my auntie and uncle.
Sunday we didnt do much - we got up had brekkie then went back to bed to watch the new 1st 4 epiodes of lost season 2, then we fell asleep, we woke up at 4:30! we went downstairs and my Cuz Laura and her husband were there! so we spoke to them had a laff and my auntie turned up. we had a lovely Chinese.
Monday me my Mum and Yvette went up town to buy me my kilt. will look great! i also bought myself a digital camera (sony P200 7.5mg if anyone is interested!) jim also returned home that night (hes my mums bloke)
The next day was obviously Tuesday so Jim me Yvette and my Mum drove up to the Isle of Skye. we took our time, stopping at nice places and Fort William etc.
Wednesday we went rock climbing, we went on a 2hr hike to the spot we wanted to do (the bit from highlander) but it was effing windy and very low cloud then it rained, so we did a smaller bit of rock and done absailing too. great views and a lovely place - there was a loch at the top of this thing!
Thursday we looked around a sleepy village and then went to this swordmakers place as i need a Sgian Dubh. Some of the Swords and knifes and rings and Dirks and other jewllery were stunning! very expensive mind - i saw two Sgian Dubhs i wanted one was £450 and had a blue blade the other was hand carved handle for £165 i didnt end up buying one as Yvette is going to get me one for my Xmas pressie :D
Friday we travelled back to Edinburgh going a different way - not over the Skye bridge but over to a place called Maillaig on the ferry, we stopped and had lunch there and then made our way back via fort william to Edinburgh - one placce we stopped at was where we spent family hoildays when i was younger - we went on to the beach where we used to have all to ourselves, brought back so good memories - it was a georgous day too.
Saturday Yvette and I went to the Hearts V Dunfermline match at Tynecastle park, we met up with the usual crowd before hand and were talking about the departure of George Burley - mental.
After the match we went to my Mums had tea then came down the road. took just over 5hours (took a new route which is quicker between Edinburgh and a place just north of Gretna)
Sunday went out for Sunday roast with Ben, J and James. then went round the shops with James, I swapped a T-shirt my sister gave me for my birthday and I also bought a Lee Evans DVD box set of his stand up - minted! that was with the gift vouchers Yvettes mum and dad game me.
Then when Yvette came home i had cooked Haggis and Mash pots with veg and cheese sauce, and watch Coach Carter - great film. then when Ben came home we put on Wallace and gromit. then bed.
I will get photos soon :D
