I'm trying to sort out my car insurance for Friday when I get to pick up my new car and Budget who I currently insure with say that they will start a new insurance policy for 12 months for £338. They say if I choose to cancel my policy and go elsewhere I will get charged £55 cancellation fee and since I paid the whole of my insurance up front I would only get £50.19 back. Rubbish! I thought I could pay some extra and just keep my policy going until November when I could renew it and check out all the options then.
Just out of interest who do you insure your cars with and did they have any good offers (i.e. I get free RAC cover included - luckily after the other weeks experience!!)??

My Step brother works for an insurance company called Clarke Roxborough who i get my insurance with.
www.moneysupermarket.com
enter your details once and it goes and looks at Top 100 insurers for best quotes.
Also if you have low no-claims discount check out Bell direct (google it)
I just did the money supermarket one, i've printed it out to read at home - I actually think the budget one is the cheapest typically.
It's nearly £100 more expensive than i pay now even tho my fiest is a 1.6 si. I'm sure it wasn't that expensive the last time i looked.
Still it will be worth it - i had a gti overtake me today and i got all excited that would be me at the weekend!!! Probably get a speeding ticket knowing my luck!!
Ok Amy jusst to let you know the cars are different and the insurance groups are different and is newer, so insurance is going to be more
Yes I get that thanks Ben! There is only 3 categories difference between them though so it shouldn't be too much.
Anyway rang Budget and apparently I will get £100 back not the £50 they told me the other day so have just gone with them again, can't be arsed to look around anymore!
PS - lucky you Jay!
I get mine free now too....
Lucky you as well, i'm starting to think i'm in the wrong job!
i get it with admiral - very cheap
Good job yours is free Jay, with the number of points you have you would need the bankroll of a small nation to pay someone to cover you!
