The weekend is almost here
It is almost the weekend, the savation of the week now only 2 working days away. Hopefully i will win the euromillions then the whole week will be my weekend. If only, if only, one can dream, it makes the day go faster. So today i think we should think about how we could spend the approx 80 million. I'm sure tosh can find a ferry or something on ebay we could buy.

A Lovely Little Tale...
This is a quick story about the bond formed between a little girl and a group of building workers. It's allegedly true and makes you want to believe in the goodness of people and that there is hope for the human race.
A young family moved into a house next door to a vacant building plot..
One day a gang of building workers turned up to start building a house on the empty plot. The young family's 5-year-old daughter naturally took an interest in all the activity going on next door and started talking with the workers. She hung around and eventually the builders, all with hearts of gold, more or less adopted the little girl as a sort of project mascot. They chatted with her, let her sit with them while they had tea and lunch breaks, and gave her little jobs to do here and there to make her feel important.
They even gave her her very own hard hat and gloves.
At the end of the first week they presented her with a pay envelope containing two pounds in 10p coins. The little girl took her 'pay' home to her mother who suggested that they take the money she had received to the bank the next day to start a savings account.
When they got to the bank the cashier was tickled pink listening to the little girl telling her about her 'work' on the building site and the fact she had a 'pay packet'.
"You must have worked very hard to earn all this" said the bank cashier.
The little girl proudly replied, "I worked all last week with the men building a big house."
"My goodness gracious," said the cashier, "Will you be working on the house again this week, as well?"
The little girl thought for a moment and said,
"I think so, Provided those c*nts at Jewson deliver the bricks!".

Ben's Back
Well i am back at work now, (how boring it is) after my week off, did not win the lottery so had to come in. Anyway i was not that busy on my week off spent Monday and Tuesday doing not a lot, then went to see my Mum Wednesday Thursday and came back friday afternoon (after she had washed my pants John) then as Tosh said we all went for a combined birthday meal for all the birthday boys. Then on for some drinks and dancing. The on Saturday (My Birthday) i did the washing up and tidied the house before Drew and Yvette came round. I baked my own Birthday cake and the Jay came round as well, they gave me a Darth Vader cake and some gifts. Oh and my mum gave me great presents of s flannel, shower gel, shampoo, a sponge and a bubble gun, which i flippin brill. Anyway, at 3.30ish James came over and drove Drew, Jay, Yvette and I over to my dads house where we had a BBQ, Hotdogs, Burgers etc. and Pat (my stepmum) had also made yet another cake, so we fed our faces and felt a little ill afterwards. We left at 8.30ish and came back to Chelt's where we all watched Hostage (Bruce Willis). Sunday was spent watching the Grand Prix at the boys and then played San Andreas until 6 when i went home and spent the night with Sara. Which brought me to Monday morning at work again.
Weekend
Friday night we went out to FLynns for Bens James' and Drews b'days. very nice meal it was too, full of hilarity. After the meal was finished we went to residence then to the Slug. And as usual we went to the Chav-tastic dump that is moda (or time in Old-School talk). it is a wanky place but coz it is cheap we go there, apparently.
Saturday i got up early to go to Hull with my bro to see Hearts V Hull (funnily enough) we won 1-0 in an average match - trouble with friendlies is that noone really wants to try as they dont want to get injured - however i did see some of the new players and they look quality.
Yesterday tidied the flat and Yvettes pal came over

Massage
at 4:40 i am having an acupressure Massage at work! apparently is it like acupunture but without the needles - the massuse applies pressure to the same points as you would with acupuncture. could be good could be sore - i will let you know :)

Drew and i saw this last night. I understand why ben anf Jay didnt like it coz the end was wank. but the whole film was good. Dakota Fanning is a minted wee actress. SFX were minted, some tense moments and Tom Cruise Ran - minted :)

Yeah ok, i'm blogging!
Hello all!
I am aware I can blog I just don't have an exciting life to blog about like you guys!
For example, this week I have been out with my new friends the IT guys. I went to theirs for a few hours to play on the xbox (something new to nintendo fan me!) - some great car game where you have to crash into other cars but only the ones with triangles above them or something, I have beginners luck at the moment. We then went up the pub for pub quiz but got there to late so just got drunk instead.
Not got that many plans on what to do this weekend, depends if it's sunny or not! I've borrowed Mario Cart for my Gamecube on the off chance it's wet!

last night i went to the gym with ben (he didnt mention that i went with him in his blog :( ) then i went home and cooked fantastic omlettes for me James and Yvette. James and i then carried on with destroy all humans Xbox game which we rented out the day before.
it is a well funny game but i am glad i didnt buy it - it would take a few days to complete.

NEW Kewl Thang
There is a new craze with ipods (and other MP3's) at the moment called Podcasting. it is ace. Basically A podcast is audio you can download and listen to wherever and whenever you want.
it is cool - i have subscribed to Mark Kirmodes radio5 live movie prog and each time the Beeb updates it i can dowload it and chuck it on my ipod and listen whereever - there are thousands of them about :)

Football
we had a Star V MessageLabs footy game last night. Drew for Star on Right Wing, me for MessageLabs at right (ahem......LEFT) wing back.
kicked off and it was 0-0 for a while until MessageLabs broke the deadlock with a cracker. around 5 mins later they scored with a cross come shot at a tight angle which curled in. if it didnt go in drew had lost his marker (ahem me) and was at the far post - well actually he slid into it in a brave attempt to make sure it went in.
the whole atmosphere was lively to say the least bad challenges - disputed corners/throw ins/handballs etc. it came to a peak about 10 mins after i was in a 50/50 challenge and had a clash of heads with a huge clumsy fool, my head spinning and finger feeling like it had broke. nobody was really playing well due to the astroturf being soaked from the 4hours of rain we had and the ball skidding everywhere, so the level of football was bad, causing the players to get even more frustrated. i went on a wee run and then got booted (nice bruise on my knee) i went ape as i was still hurting from the headbut. i went on a swearing frenzy for a few seconds. it was my 1st and only outburts and those who had done it all night told ME to calm down.....injustice ;) it is the accent makes it sound 300 times worse.....its great.
couple of minutes before 1/2 time MessageLabs went two up.
the 2nd half was just getting going when i found myself in the box, i took a low shot across goal, keeper went down and saved it. trouble was in the process of flying to the ground he dislocated his shoulder. he was on the floor for the next 30 mins at least, ambulance came to get him, so the match was abandoned and opefully there will be a rematch in a couple of weeks. I dont think Ben, J or james will come to watch that :)

Good Morning
No one else is posting so I will this morning!
So, did everyone have a good weekend? What did you get up to? I managed to watch pretty much all of Live 8, got very square eyes after sitting infront of the telly for that long but it was good. Then on Sunday went down to see my mum and went to the beach.

Burning the Candle at both ends
Tosh seems to be burning the candle at both ends this week.
Hey he may even go to work on Saturday and Sunday to make a whole week's worth of work.
Me on the other hand am going to go to a BBQ tonight and drink some beer and forget about work for the weekend.
