my birthday weekend

What a great weekend

Friday off to spend with Yvette. we went to Cotswold wildlife park then drove the long way home with the roof down as it was a gorgeous day. friday night had a fantastic steak pie at jays.

Sat morning got me pressies from Yvette Boss jumper, Peter wearth wallet,3 books,Xbox game - woooooooooooooooo

i also got 300 dvd and boss socks from Sparks and Em
bottle of whisky from James - AuchenTOSHan ;)
Colin got me nizlopi ticket for this friday - wooo cant wait

sat after playing footy (drew 2-2) we watched England beat Oz - was impartial. then we headed off into town to the strand where we stayed till 12:30.

We didnt go clubbing as on Sunday we got up and had a cooked breakfast and went to Go Ape! I had booked 10 of us to go clambering around the trees and Jay and Bex kindly bought me my ticket for my birthday. Fun was had by all - not so much by Yvette but I was proud of her (and Jay) for doing it all seeing as they hate heights. After 3 hours we were finished so went home. Jay and bex came up for a curry and we watched the Scotland V the Argies at rugger. We lost - booo

Bought Halo 3 last week - didn't really play it as i was playing stranglehold, but on Sat ben and James and myself played online co-op - basically doing the game together.

we finished it in 4.5 hours!

Yes today is friday, not muc of the whole day left since its now gone 4pm. So make the most of what is left. I say goto the Pub and have a drink :)

Tomorrow is Saturday, Reunion for Merrowdown people, alas Greener is not coming, i will have everyone.a drink or ten for you. It is also Community Shield Day for the Trinity Football team so i have to go there first before meeting everyone.

Sunday nothing planned, so i guess nothing ventured as they say.

The reunion

Quick and to the point - busy :D

On Friday I went out with Haze/Jay/E/Ben and Gareth for a few drinks in the strand. Then home on my own – Yvette was camping with the girls.

Saturday played footy – won 5-2. Goals from Jay and E - Ben played too after a shaky start he was cool. We were at a new ground, which includes a bar and they provide sausages and chips included in ground rental! WOOOOOOOO

Got home and watched Liverpool with Jay/ben/E/Martin/sheps/gray/con– had hair cut – went shopping – bought 2 boss shirts and boss t-shirt and peter wearth shirt- all for £90 BARGAIN - the t-shirt was the most expensive.

Watched west brom with all the above.

Went for a curry with Jay/E/Martin/Sheps/Gray/Con and hazel. Then met up with everyone else at the conservatory and few drinking games later went to MODA!! Haha shite club but last club open which we used to go to at uni.

Then Jay/e/martin/Sheps/Gray/con and hazel all went back to mine and started to go through my ipod collection and singing :D till 4am :D

Haze and martin went home rest stayed at mine.

In the morning we styed in and watched footy- they all left and ben and I went to james house for Caz birthday BBQ – then home and watched ghost rider. Ben stayed in spare room.

Monday got up watched school for scoundrels – haha very funny

Then I picked Yvette up from cribs had a look around and came home and chilled with her.

Hello everyone (or just Ben & Tosh maybe judging by the posts!)

I just wanted to send a quick message to say thanks for the emails and messages you sent me, it was lovely to hear from you and very much appreciated.

Things are getting easier I guess, I can't believe Ethan was born almost a month ago! His funeral went as well as we could of hoped and it stayed dry and sunny which was good since all the reports were predicting a downpour! We received the bill for it this weekend - £395! Ouch! And that's with the funeral directors doing all their stuff for free! Still, the funeral directors were lovely and couldn't have done anything any better so I guess money well spent.

I had my first day back at work today, I managed a whole morning before being in floods of tears and being allowed home. I was hoping to be able to go in and take my mind off things but I had lots of well wishers etc. I'm getting quite used to being sat here watching daytime tv, I think I need a lottery win to make it a long term thing!!

Anyway I won't go on, I'm not sure how comfortable people are with me talking about it - two of the people in my office won't even mention what happened and act as if i've not been away which is fine but i'm ok talking about it so that's equally fine!...well as long as no one minds a few tears...which thinking about it you can escape online :)

So, I still think i'll give the reunion a miss at the weekend. How did the reunion go this weekend just gone? Don't forget to post some photos on Facebook or somewhere, it will be good to see how people look nowadays!

Highest meal ever.........bar in a plane

A few of us (including James) went to the CN Tower last night, it is the worlds tallest building. I had booked us a table in the 360 resturant - as the name suggests it goes all the way around the tower and also rotates. So we sat in our chairs and the revolved slowly as we were eating. it was cool.

I have been before but it is still amazing. After dinner we went to the viewing floor and went out on the glass floor. One of the guys with us hates hights but he did it fair play. Actually he was shitting it in the lift (will post video on FB).

Today I am leaving and will arrive in Chelts go to sleep then drive Yvette up to Edinburgh. busy busy.

Hopefully I might see my pals soon?

Baseball

I went to see the Baseball last night - LA Angels V Toronto Blue Jays. It was actually pretty cool. All the scoring was in the first innings with the Jays going into a 4-1 lead and thats how it ended with the bottom of the 9th not needed to be played.

Still dont like the north American chants that are the same for every team and every sport. They dont make them up like in the UK. dont think you will get "Posh spice takes it up the arse" at LA Galaxy. unless they sing it to the Organ music.

Tonight for our last night we are up the CN tower to the resturant - should be good.
Tomorrow 1/2 day then coming home.

Toronto

so we landed ok in Toronto on sat. Got to hotel ok and checked in. James and I have a nice suite. (not the same beds though!)

sat night we went out for dinner - to rich tree - its a resturant with lots of different "market stalls" where you pick your food, you get your card swiped then go to the next stall for drinks etc - its minted, pick and choose type of food to try. At the end you pay for what ever is on your card.

Sunday james and i went to the gym then met up with a guy called paul and went out shopping, but they open at 11 am so we wandered around aimlessly until they opened. I bought a pair of nike frees :D going back to Oakley tomorrow :D

Sunday night we went to watch the new Bourne in a MASSIVE cinema- had a floor full of food places (KFC/Burger king etc) minted film.

Before the cinema we went to Hooters :D after the "oo we are going to hooters" it ended up just like a normal place like TGI/sports bar although the women are waering less - but after 5 mins the fact that we were in Hooters ended and just chatted and watched the 4 plasmas each with different sports on it!

Tomorrow we will hopefully go to the Baseball.

My Weekend and Selwyn Gribble

Well the weekend consisted of two consecutive days off work, which i filled with activities.

Friday went to see Russ and Catherine in the Slug, it was a fun evening. Went home slept on the sofa whilst watching films. Saturday did my laundry for most of the day, was supposed to go for some drinks with Jay, Becks, Russ and Catherine, but by the time they finished there meal it was quite late for drinks (9.40), so since iwa at Tosh's with Yvette we watched a film with Mandy Moore in it called "Because i said so", a chic flick but with Mandy in her underwear at one point i did not mind, oh and Piper Perabo was in hers too. Went home and again slept on the sofa and watched crouching tiger, hidden dragon from behnd the closed lids of my eyes 3 times. Failed to see any tigers or dragons at all. Sunday i went to meet my Mum and Selwyn in Broadway for lunch. Got my birthday presents from my mum, some clothes from Next, more on these in a bit. Had a loverly roast in the Swan, yum yummy. Ice cream for afters. Walked round the shops for a bit, then returned to Chelts to see people in the Lansdown. On the way back i took my new clothes to Next and exchanged them for a T-Shirt that has the Godfather Logo on it and a Shirt,my mum said she did not mind me swapping them since i tried to convince her i would wear the stuff she got me but it was shocking so she saw thru me. Anyway back to the lansdown, fun and frolics were had, rusrty should upload so amusing videos of the activities for you all to see on facebook. After about 5 hours we went back to the Muckletts and got a Thai, which was ace. Watched Outbreak on ITV2, slept on Tosh's sofa, then came to work this morning.

Amusing Selwyn Hospital Story
Whilst in hospital the doctors had a bit of fun with Sel and the scan of his clot in his heart. There were a number of new doctors that had just finished their training, so they were shown the scan of the clot and asked to point out which person on the ward it was. So looking around the ward they see people in their beds and at the far end is Sel, sitting in an armchair, in shorts and T-shirt, doing the crossword, looking fit as a fiddle. All the new doctors say "oh its diffinatly not him", once they find out it is slowly over the next few days them all visit Sel to take his pulse and do some checks. Most people with a clot on their heart have an irregular heart beat but not Sel, heart of an Ox. Oh they also took my mums blood pressure when she was visiting and she almost blew the machine up since hers was quite high.

Just to let you know I will be in Toronto as from tomorrow. Will be coming back next friday then sleeping and then driving up to Edinburgh to see my Aunty.

Selwyn Home :)

Just to let you Blog viewers know Selwyn is back at home now. The Blood clot went thru his heart and is now above his lungs. He is on wolferine now for the rest of his life to stop clots developing again. We have to wait to see what happens with this clot as he may need surgery to get rid of it if it does not go on its own. Which could mean Open Heart Surgery, which i hope is not the case.

He says thanks for all the messages sent to him on Facebook, i thank you all too he is a great guy who deserves to get better :)

For those who know him my Step-Dad has gone into hospital again with suspected blood clots on his lung. Hopefully he will not be in for long and will get better ASAP. Those who have him as a facebook friend send him a get well message for me :)

It seems that every year around my Birthday i get my heart broken. Last year a week before it and this year a week after it. I dont think i should have a birthday anymore :( So unfortunatly for the people of Cheltenham you will have to endure the grumpy miserable Ben from last yera again for a few months. However if you do know where my smile is please direct it back to me.

My Weekend with Posh and Becks

Ok so they were at Silverstone too, not with me but they were there!!

Drove to meet Drews bro Saturday morning, arranged to meet at services just off M40 on the A43 at 10 am. We then drove to Silverstone and parked in a field. Saw the amazing Qualifying (from Club Corner)!! Watched a GP2 race, as we walked around the track, saw the F1 village and a number of the Team stands. Was a wicked day, apparently more poeple were at the qualifying that day that there was at last years race day!! Drove over to my mums house for Tea (Chicken Curry, it was yummy), watched TV for a bit before bed.

Up at 7.30 SUnday morning then drove over to Sixfields where our Park and Ride to the Track was. An hour and a half drive to the track, bit of a joke cause it really is not that far, have to congratulate the organisers tho as usually it is a fricking nightmare to get there, one time me and my dad went it took about 4 hours to drive in. Got to the Track at about 11.15ish and found a spot on Club to watch the race, should have left ealier to bag a better spot, but i climbed on the railing and could see better. Was an excellent day and the race was cool, pity about the result, it does now make it a little more interesting on the points front tho. Apparently Ron Dennis turned down the power on the Mac's to save the engines for the next race in Germany so thats wy they did not catch up with the Ferrari of Kimi. After the race finished we left and got the Bus back to Sixfields, back to my mums to pick up the other car, then we drove back via my Dads house for a cuppa :) Back at Drews for 8.20ish, watched a bit of Batman on Sky One before going home to bed. Fantastic weekend lots of fun.

Friday night we all went to the lansdown (bar james) as sparks and Emma were coming to see us all. nice quiet night.

Saturday Hebs and Guy came to ours too and then we all went back to the Lansdown for food. Sat night we all went to Jay and Bex (inc. James) it was a party to celebrate Bex birthday (and an honorary party for Emma). After that we went to the Salisbury pub which was nice.

After the Salisbury we all went to Blush (apart from James) and danced into the wee early hours of the next morning.

Sunday I went to Cardiff after chucking Emma, Sparks, Hebs and Guy out my flat. I took Yvette and Louise to see Alby and also my mum and jim was down.

I have been on a wonderful course for the last three days, will benifit the future of the world i think, either that or it was a complete load of arse!!

I go for the latter it was dull as ditch water yawn snooze dribble!!!

I was Ill

Friday night we had a boys poker night at Drews. Me Drew, Ben, Jay,Russ and Colin all put in a fiver.

I took round a bottle of whiskey - Colin brought over Cuban cigars. it was a great night. Russ Won the £30 kitty.

I was really drunk as I had 3/4 of the bottle and only had a salad for dinner so not really great to soak up alcohol! plus the fat cuban cigars! I got home and was sick :(

The next day I was going to caddy for the boys when they played golf but I was still pissed when i woke up (by Jay shouting goodbye to Bex - "I love you Bex have a good day BYE") I did go back to sleep and woke up at 12:30 - feeling good (no really i dont get hangovers :D )

Sat night i went out for a wee while, promised Yvette I would be home for 11pm (she is still revising for exams) again pics of that is on bens facebook section ;)

Sunday I went Shopping with Ben - no pictures of that on facebook! Typical I actually wanted to buy things but couldnt find out. So we went to the park to meet up with Bex Jay, Anna,Cat and Russ. Pics on Bens facebook! Then I went home cooked Yvette dinner and went to see wedding Daze with Ben whilst others went to see Pirates or oceans.

Had another boring day at work, did sod all, but i did have an ice cream this afternoon and sepnt £5000 of company money. Tomorrow i may actually do something constructive. hahahaha who and i kidding.

Cambridge

I went to Cambridge yesterday - well actually a wee town just south of it. It was a bitch to get to but thank god Ben lent me his tom tom.

3 hours to get there - 3 hour meeting 2 1/2 hours to get back. Long day

Why do i exist???

Ever since the buggers at Blogspot made me update the blog, no one seems to be able to use it, as the login proces is pump.

The quizes died a death as only Tosh, Jay and I played them towards the end. The same can be said about the Blog, it may well be closed as no-one seems to care anymore.

There was going to be a big prize for the 1000th entry, but not anymore i returned it.

I will let the Blog live for a week but if the inactivity continues then alas we will say fare thee weel CGCHE blog, as it has been surpassed by FACEBOOK.

I was quoted £600 for 4 tyres at kwik-fit, I did find cheaper mind you. But then i Ordered them from http://www.tyre-shopper.co.uk, £308 inc. fitting etc. not bad really.

You can choose where you want them fitted and on what day, dead easy.

Thought I would share as tyres can be expensive and I am Scottish so like to save money.

Home from Holiday

Well boys and girls i am home now, had a geat time in the sun in spain. Got a good Tan and went to some interesting places. Mostly spent the time in the sun though which i all i wanted to do there. So not really a lot more to say.

Espania Update 2

Well what can i say there has been no rain here unlike you guys muhahaha

Tan is coming along fine, could be mistaken for a local or maybe a maroccan by the time i come back. We went to a place called peniscola the other day, hehe funny name. Walked round the castle there, apparantly a pope hid out there a few hundred years ago.

Also went bowling last night, beat my dad and pat cause they are rubbish at it.

Will be back Tuesday so expect a visit Cheltenham people either Tuesday or Wednesday evening.

Finland

So I went to Finland on Tuesday.

Landed at 3:15, checked in then went for a wander round Helsinki with a guy at my work.

It was...interesting. not really alot to do, if I knew we would have loads of free time i would have researched places to go. Loads of heavy metal bars though! yuck.

I was very busy everywhere as Eurovision is being held there. We were outside one of the buildings hosting some event or other when a taxi pulled up. A few people got out and all the press bounded over to a geezer - fuck knows who he was. So I asked someone . WOW you never guess - it was Swedens entry into the compition! WOW was so excited............... or not! but here he is:



Glad we cleared that up then.

Wednesday was going around a partners HQ then flew back.

We were taken out for dinner lunch brekkie etc - I spent £10 on 3 drinks and vodka chocs ;)

Holiday Update

Well apart from almost missing the plane, i had to be called on the tannoy to goto the departure gate. This was after i almost missed checkin cause the bus from the car park to Bristol Airport went off just as i dropped my car off, so had to wait for 10 mins for the next one.

Well i did get here ok, have spent the last two days sunbathing by the pool on the roof of my dads apartment block. So little to do but sit in the sun, its a hard life for some of us. Tomorrow he want me to go and see the castle where some pope lived so time ago, zzzzzzzz, but it is also where they filmed el cid :) so should be fun.

Hope you are all enjoying the rain over there, i have forgotten what clouds look like hehe.

One More Day of Work

Just one more day at work for me then i am off for 11 days, weekend at my mums house, then on Monday i am off to sun myself on a beach in Spain :) Will get to see my Dad just after his birthday but none the less i am on holiday and have virtually slipped into holiday mode already, oh so little work will be done tomorrow. Which is annoying cause i feel i have so much i need to do before i go, lucky i worked my arse of today so i can cruise by tomorrow.

The most annoying thing is i have to move desk tomorrow, 2 years in the same place and now they move me, away from my comfy little desk to a new desk near people who smell and are annoying :( was a shit!!!

Cheltenham Reunion

I'm not sure how often you lot log into your Myspace accounts but Emma sent out a bulletin the other day about a possible Cheltenham reunion on 1st September (it's a Saturday). I'm not sure if this date suits you or if you think it should be earlier/later but any suggestions are appreciated!

We have builders!! It's like some kind of infection... First there are just a couple of them with harmless tools like measuring tapes and maybe a pencil behind the ear and then, well just look at the pictures - it's like a war zone! Although it has improved since last week when we were having to use a ladder to access the front door so I guess I shouldn't complain - just another month or so of banging, crashing, hammering, having the bathroom ripped out and replaced and all the mayhem that goes with building work! and then I can sort out the garden, fix the fence, plant some pretty flowers and finally sit on my new deck and enjoy all the hard work they did!!!

I am so glad to be at work.

Weekend was good - drove to Edinburgh on thursday night, got up at 12:30 so not too bad - not alot of traffic really.

Friday demolished a garage - that was fun. Friday afternoon did something but cant remember. Friday night had a party - people came over - was ok, mor eof my mums pals - so me Yvette bro sis, cousins and sis in law was in the front room hiding.

Saturday me, bro and Yvette went to hearts Match after having a spot of lunch up the town. Shit game but we won 1-0 so that was good.

Sat night me, bro and Yvette and cousins went out. Saw Kenny miller the celtic and Scotland player - Ugly as - look him up on google. We also saw a couple of Hearts players - my bro spoke to them - i cooly waved. We were made up all night ;)

Sunday had a massive lunch then drove back down. got to chelts in 4 3/4 hours! didnt speed really at all- no really didnt! my average was 67mph as my car told me. it is only around 336 miles.

Monday went to Yvettes mums and dads for a lunch - fecking huge lunch it was - nice tho, home made quiche and pudding too.

So by the time we went to Bens for a BBQ we wernt hungray - but had a nice night at bens with everyone else.

Uncomfortable Questions about the Death Star Attack

1) Why were a handful of rebel fighters able to penetrate the defenses of a battle station that had the capability of destroying an entire planet and the defenses to ward off several fleets of battle ships?

2) Why did Grand Moff Tarkin refuse to deploy the station’s large fleet of TIE Fighters until it was too late? Was he acting on orders from somebody to not shoot down the rebel attack force? If so, who, and why?

3) Why was the rebel pilot who supposedly destroyed the Death Star reported to be on the Death Star days, maybe hours, prior to its destruction? Why was he allowed to escape, and why were several individuals dressed in Stormtrooper uniforms seen helping him?

4) Why has there not been an investigation into allegations that Darth Vader, the second-ranking member of the Imperial Government, is in fact the father of the pilot who allegedly destroyed the Death Star?

Why didn't he arrest this rebel when he had the chance?

5) Why did Lord Vader decide to break all protocols and personally pilot a lightly armored TIE Fighter? Conveniently, this placed Lord Vader outside of the Death Star when it was destroyed, where he was also conveniently able to escape from a large-sized rebel fleet that had just routed the Imperial forces. Why would Lord Vader, one of the highest ranking members of the Imperial Government, suddenly decide to fly away from the Death Star in the middle of a battle? Did he know something that the rest of the Imperial Navy didn’t?

In the video of the Death Star’s destruction, Lord Vader clearly exclaims “I have you now” then fires two shots. Those shots never impact — anywhere. Were they merely “added” to the “official” video after the event to make it appear that Lord Vader had at least attempted to fight off his alleged son?

6) Nerf-Herders defy the laws of physics? How could any pilot shoot a missile into a 2 meter-wide exhaust port, let alone a pilot with no formal training, whose only claim to fame was his ability to “bullseye womprats” on Tatooine? This shot, according to one pilot, would be “impossible, even for a computer.” Yet, according to additional evidence, the pilot who allegedly fired the missile turned off his targeting computer when he was supposedly firing the shot that destroyed the Death Star. How did the missile make a right angle turn after entering the exhaust port? How could a missile shot in the vacuum of space–that would tend to keep going in the same direction as it was released, according to the laws of physics–be *sucked* into an *exhaust* pipe? "Exhaust" means to exhale or blow out... Wouldn’t the missiles have been blown awry of their target rather than sucked in? If it had been an intake pipe, then the “bending” path of the missiles could be plausible. Why have these discrepancies never been investigated, let alone explained?

7) Why has their been no investigation into evidence that the droids who provided the rebels with the Death Star plans were once owned by none other than Lord Vader himself, and were found, conveniently, by the pilot who destroyed the Death Star, and who is also believed to be Lord Vader’s son? Evidence also shows that the droids were brought to one Ben Kenobi, who, records indicate, was Darth Vader’s teacher many years earlier! Are all these personal connections between the conspirators and a key figure in the Imperial government supposed to be coincidences?

8) How could a single missile destroy a battle station the size of a moon? No records, anywhere, show that any battle station or capital ship has ever been destroyed by a single missile. Furthermore, analysis of the tape of the last moments of the Death Star show numerous small explosions along its surface, prior to it exploding completely! Why does all evidence indicate that strategically placed explosives, not a single missile, is what destroyed the Death Star?

How could this small missile create an explosion this big?

9) Prior to the destruction of the Death Star a smuggler named Captain Solo was reportedly given a large sum of money. At a crucial point in the battle, Captain Solo had an unobstructed shot on his choice of the fighters pursuing Skywalker, yet Solo did not take advantage of this opportunity to kill Darth Vader. Although Vader was in the process of firing upon Skywalker’s X-wing, Solo attacked the defensive fighter instead. In the aftermath, Vader escaped, while Solo still had crates of money in his cargo hold. Captain Solo eventually made his way to the Bespin system, where he was seen dining with none other than Vader, who was reportedly obsessed with obtaining Captain Solo’s ship (and the money contained therein). Solo’s ship was then seen flying into the super-structure of the second Death Star, destroying it just after Vader was able to get out (he was seen leaving a shuttle piloted by none other than Luke Skywalker). Yet through this whole sequence of events, the money was never seen removed from Solo’s ship. Was it used to bribe Darth Vader, who (allegedly) assassinated Palpatine? Did anyone other than Vader and Skywalker actually see Emperor Palpatine die?

10 ) During pilot debriefing we leaned that Obi Wan was the one who told Luke to turn off his targeting computer. He said he was told by Obi Wan to "Let go" and "Trust me". This is the same Obi Wan who was, according to the official story, killed after sabotaging the Death Star by none other than Darth Vader BEFORE speaking to Luke. His convenient death places him inside the Death Star just before the explosions on the surface occur. By faking his death Vader would have given Obi Wan time to plant explosives. The only evidence of his death is his Jedi robe on surveillance cameras. And even that can't be found because they decided to conveniently let the evidence burn in the planet atmosphere. Also, why are there reports from Endor that Lord Vader, Obi Wan and Yoda were seen together AFTER their deaths? And who other than the Empire has the capacity to fake their deaths?

11) Lord Vader executed an officer for incompetence by allowing the rebels to escape. He then orders another officer to disable the Millennium Falcon's hyper drive. The rebels once again escape using the disabled hyper drive. Why was the officer responsible for caring out Lord Vader's order to disable the hyper drive not executed? Why was he in fact given NO disciplinary action what so ever? Why did Lord Vader only disable the hyper drive? If Lord Vader didn't want the rebels to escape, why didn't he disable the ship entirely?

12) Why did the captain of the Imperial Stardestroyer not fire upon the lifepod with the droids carrying Death Star plans? The "official story" says he didn't find the any signs of life. He said "Hold your fire. There are no life forms. It must have been short-circuited." Why would he be looking for life when it was electronic plans he should have been looking for. Why did he jump to the conclusion it was "short-circuited". Is he a lifepod engineer?

How can all this be just incompetence and coincidence? IMPOSSIBLE!

The most important question of all is why would a shadowy group in the Empire want to destroy such a technological wonder? Is it an excuse to invade Hoth and steal their oil; a planet which didn’t have anything to do with the attacks. Or is it to take away your religious freedoms to practice the dark side of the force? As incredible as this sounds it makes more sense than the official story.

Ailment Du Jour

I'm in agony, and have been since Sunday.

It all started innocently in the shower. Then after washing my balls I grabbed my towel for the drying off part of cleaning yourself. When I lifted the towel over my head to dry my back something cracked.

Since then I've had the worst pain just to the bottom left of my right shoulder blade - can't sit, can't lay down, can't Tug Of War.

Not seeing the Doctor til tomorrow morning and then I expect that I'll be referred to Physio who's waiting list is probably 5 weeks long :o(

I'm just gonna have to tough it out, like a man.

Anyone had similar or got any tips?

Will the suprises never end. 24 has lifted this weeks episode straight from the classic film Rainman, i wanted the guys to be called Raymond so much.

I am also getting a little amazed or is it annoyed that every week what ever is happening will be ready "within the hour" just once for a laugh can they say "Sorry Jack that will take a couple of hours, maybe not even till tomorrow".

What I saw on the way to work...

Whilst driving to work this morning i either saw a hundred thousand ghosts everywhere, scentless smoke, or fog?? Its hard to say but i am sure i saw shapes and figures in the white blanket or whatever it was!! It sent a chill up my spine... then i turned the heater on in the car and it went away.

Morning everyone,

Glad to see you all had a good weekend! Mine was fairly stressful, for those of you that don’t know (maybe everyone except Jonno possibly!!) my Papa died on Tuesday and it was his cremation on Friday. He had been in hospital for a while but we thought he was getting a bit better. It’s very sad for my Nan since they were married for 58 years!

We had to go via Bristol to pick my sister up and her boyfriend on Thursday night and we all stayed at my aunties in London. The cremation was on Friday at Golders Green Crematorium which is really nice (and lots have famous people have been cremated there – most recently John Inman who was cremated there the same day!) The service was the usual mix of English/Hebrew so it was quite interesting but I think I spent the whole of it in tears anyway.

Even so, it was a good opportunity to see all my cousins and we had a lovely evening catching up with each other and planning a holiday to Vegas next year since in Papa’s eulogy it mentioned the time they took all their grandkids on a cruise and we ran up a £2k bar bill!! My cousin had bought a new PS3 so we all had a good look at that too!

We came home on Saturday and then I went and did lots of shopping on Sunday! That always makes me feel better!! Am back at work today and I’m really hating it, my boss is driving me bananas and I really wish I’d won the lottery over the weekend so I didn’t have to come back!

Oh well, that’s all my news for now…

well sooooo glad it is friday. Cant wait for the weekend.

Not had the best of weeks at work, well noone has really with the cutbacks going on. got another couple of weeks to ride it out as people go through their "consultancy" period.

Tonight I will be watching Bond with Yvette. Tomorrow watching Scotland and England Match with Jay (and anyone else who wans to come) Sat night not sure. Sunday go and see the shooter in the morning at the cinema then well not sure might do something crazy like wash my car!

Last night James/Ben/Caz/and James dad went to watch 300 - minted film go and see it. I didnt go to training nor am i playing this weekend as last sat i got injured (but stayed on as we had no subs - i am a HERO!). My artheritis is also playing up this week so I thought i would rest myself for a bit. But Good luck to Jay and Drew and the team for this weekend (it is a cup match and we have already won our group so not important).

It came, it Partied, it went...

Well the weekend has anyway. It was a fun filled event, Comic Relief on Friday night at Tosh and Yvettes, had a lovely Chilli and a load of us (Jay, Becky, Russ, Heba and Corrie. Plus James briefly) watched the amusements on BBC1, the best thing being Top Gear of the Pops, followed by Catherine Tate meeting the Prime Minister, most of the rest was rubbish.

Saturday was spent not doing much but watching TV, until it was time to go out for Yvettes birthday. Went to the Ha HA Bar and had a few drinks before we went off to Blush for some more drinking and dancing. Was a good night and everyone had lots of fun. Sparks and Emma were up from Southampton, it was good to see them (although Sparks did forget to call me so i could give him back the Video camera from the wedding).

Sunday was spent lying on the sofa at the boys house falling asleep and catching the ends of lots of films. Had KFC for lunch and then got back on the sofa for another snooze. Watched more films then went home and the weekend was over.

Not too busy to blog...

just not had a computer for a couple of weeks - my hard drive got all compressed and had to go in for surgery!! But it is all uncompressed and working again now so a big hello from Canada. Not much else to report though, lots of rain, dogs are getting huge (both well over 100lbs now), busy planning some home renovations, maybe I'll post the designs on the blog for comments and last but not least I started a new job - QA for Nestle Waters - just think CSI but with water and that's it!! Chemistry and microbiology etc, and all the free water I can drink - if only it was a brewery.....

Movie Weekend

So hows everyones weekend been? Mine comprised of tidying the house Saturday morning then going to the cinema to watch Hot Fuzz with Russ and Marcus, which was funny as hell. The went home and got a call from Tosh who asked if i wanted to go see The Number 23 that night, so back to the cinema i went, with Tosh, Yvette and James. Another good film, with the main character being obsessed by the number 23 and its reverse 32. Interestingly i was born on 23rd July 1978, which if you take July, 7th Month, so 7 plus 1+9+7+8 = 32. Freaky!!

On Sunday again went to the cinema with Tosh James and his girlfriend Caz. Watched Ghost Rider. Good adaptation from the comics and done well, which you have to expect as it is Nic Cages favourite Marvel character. Went to see Russ and Annie, had tea with them and watched TV. Drew came back from his Bro's at 8ish, we all watched Top Gear, then i went home and watched I,Robot on DVD even though it was on TV i did not want adverts.

Bleeuuurrrggghhh...Aarrrrgghhhhh... Splat!

I'm on holiday this week but for Sunday and Monday I was mostly ill.

It was projectile vom and bum spray all the way - but i'm better now you'll all be glad to know.

The only other thing of note to happen so far this week is having Sausage & Mash at the pub. Yum!

Weather Warning

Apparently we are going to get lots of snow tonight and it may hit minus 10. Not much if your my sister, but for us here in Blighty we can expect the country to come to a stand still for a day or two.

All I will do is remember to only make journeys that are necessary, so work will be out the window, however driving to the pub will not be a problem.

This Weekend

Hello all. Just a quick note to wish everyone a good weekend. Hope the boys have a good time at Sparkies! I'm looking forward to some good stories of drunken antics on Monday. Ben, I hope you have a good time this weekend too ;). Me, well I am in Ireland where I will be watching the 6 Nations hoping that England can muster up a decent performance against the Scots. I am Sueing Jay

Yesterday my shoulder blade felt like it had been ripped out and replaced with PAIN. That TV is a health hazard and you should expect to be served with the appropriate papers this week. I am looking to take you to the cleaners, or at least get the £3 you owe me for the munchies sandwich i got you!!!

Trip!

On Friday I'm stepping onto a plane which is taking me to Dublin for a company conference. It will be the usual stuff - turnover / profit for '06 followed by expected turnover / profit for '07 followed by boozing in Dublin, a night in a hotel then a swim home. Should be top especially as I'm gunning for the Employee Of The Year award - how can I not win?

Looking at my plane ticket I can't take any luggage which surely isn't correct - this could prove problematic if my pants fail during the shenanigans. Must investigate.

What I will be looking for in Ireland:

- Somewhere to smoke
- Potatoes
- Leprechauns
- Rainbow (with pot of gold)
- Ginger Hair
- Stephen

Not as exciting as forgotten glasses or iPod speakers some might say, but it could be worse.

my tale

I am in London today. I got up at 5:15am. I walked to the train station and bought a ticket to paddington including Zone 1 on the underground - it cost £120!

I got the 6:10 train. because of a derailment we were held up and so didnt get to the office until 10:30! how annoying.
Seeing as i was late this morning anyway i stopped into one of the many electronics shops next to the office to look at the ipod speakers ;). The New JBL radial is good - looks good and great sound - no remote though. The apple one has very very good sound and has a remote - but looks like a lego brick. the bose one i think it is that I will get at some point.

I was to have a meeting at 10am but was postponed till 11. it finished at 12:15 and i have just been to one of the many shops nearby - i got noddles and sweet and sour chicken as my train is at 5:50 tonight therefore wont have a decent dinner.

How is that for a Tale John ;) not quite as interesting as ben and his glasses.

Forgot my Glasses

I seem to have forgotten my glasses today, i only need them whilst i am concentrating, why do i bring them to work i hear you ask? So i can see the screen and talk to people on MSN and do the quiz sometimes.

I am glad however, the giant pile of work i had to do seems to have vanished overnight:)

Either that or i just can not see it!!!

New Scam

I'm not one for usually sending on junk e-mails about potemtial scams as I hate them , but I had a close miss over the weekend. I walked into B&Q earlier on sunday and some old guy dressed in orange asked me of I wanted decking. Fortunately I got the first puch in and that was the end of that. Those less suspecting might not be so lucky: be aware!

Weekend Update

Hey everyone, just wondering what everyone did at the weekend? Did the boys win the football? Did Drews hand fall off due to infection in his wound? Did Cheltenham miss it's drunken wild child? Did the economy bomb cause i did not spend too much money on alcohol?

I was away this weekend as you can tell. I got drunk on Friday night in Northampton, well a village outside of it with my friend. Went in to Northampton Town on Saturday, walked around the centre, which is a shit hole now. Did see my gran and Great Aunt and had a coffee with them. Then spent the rest of the weekend with my friend (You know who i mean Sis).

Shity Car tax proposal

The government's proposal ( Commons December the 29th 2006) to introduce road pricing will mean you having to purchase a tracking device for your car and paying a monthly bill to use it. The tracking devices cost about £200 and in a recent study by the BBC, the lowest monthly bill was £28 for a rural florist and £194 for a delivery driver. A non working Mum who used the car to take the kids to school paid £86 in one month. On top of this massive increase in tax, you will be tracked. Somebody will know where you are at all times. They will also know how fast you have been going, so even if you accidentally creep over a speed limit in time you can probably expect a Notice of Intended Prosecution with your monthly bill.
